Domain? What's that???

A domain is just an address under which you can present your website on the internet (for example: webnode.com, google.com, wikipedia.org…).

How to get a domain name for a Webnode project?

a)      When the user doesn’t have a domain yet:

Domain Registration – This is the easiest option for our users. They just look for the domain that they want, and if it’s free (the domain) they can pay for the registration.
Everything else is done automatically.

b)      When the user already has a domain with another provider (2 options):

Domain transfer – It involves moving completely the domain from the previous provider to our servers. So, at the end of the process, the domain will look exactly as if it was registered with us (no major differences).
The users will pay for the transfering (actually they pay just for renewing the domain) and we will take care of the rest.

Domain assign – In this case, the domain will not be moved to Webnode. It will stay in its actual provider.
It has no cost (it’s for free), but it’s the user who needs to do all the configuration directly on the control panel of the domain. We cannot do that configuration, just to give him/her some advices and tips.
