How to use Webmail

There are two ways of using an e-mail account created with Webnode:

1.      Webmail - User can very easily use this service by logging into Webnode.com and using the new e-mail and password, which was created during the e-mail setup. Webmail is a very simple tool, but it has similar functions as any other mail service (like Yahoo), so users can include attachments, send carbon and blind copies (CC/BCC), and create email signatures. This feature is available online so it can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.

These are the limitations of the Webmail:
- Storage: 1 GB
- Size of each attachment: 2 MB (it can be up to 7 MB when using an external mail client)
- Total size of attachments: 7 MB
- Maximum size of attachments on received emails: 7 MB
- Frequency of sending: the limit is 5 emails per 1 minute.
- 40* recipients per minute.

* That means if you will send one mail with 40 recipients you cannot send any more mails in that minute. If you will send mail to 20 recipients, you can send another mail to max 20 another recipients in same minute. This number applies to all e-mail fields, so: TO + CC + BCC <= 40.

2.      External Mail Client – Like for example: Outlook, Thunderbird, or Google Mail. Using post client programs such as those, it is necessary to correctly set the POP3 and SMTP records of the account. Without these settings it is not possible to send or receive any e-mails.
POP3 – server for incoming e-mails
SMTP – server for outgoing e-mails

Example settings:

User name (e-mail address)  info@domain.com
Password (created by user) pass123654

POP3
(Port 110)

SMTP
(Port 25 or 587)

We have a tutorial about Outlook on the Knowledgebase.

Setting the email account on this kind of apps might cause some little issues on the mail service. In those cases, follow the instructions for using the "Fix e-mail tool".
