Fix e-mail tool

When setting up a post client program (like Outlook or Thunderbird) some issues can appear on the e-mail settings. For this reason we have created the Fix e-mail tool, which can be found at https://www.rubicus.com/tools/fix-email/

 

Using this is very simple; just insert the domain name and select the “skip e-mails” box. If there is an “OK” on each line, then everything is set correctly and we will have to analyze the issue that the user reported more in detail.

 

If the word “FIXED” is displayed on the first line, it means that there was a problem.
If the user is reporting that the e-mails cannot be created because the system ask him/her to get a domain first, then after the fix it will be possible to verify the domain (entering in "Domain management") to solve it.

If “FIXED” appears on any other lines, then the user is reporting an issue with the post client service, that probebly is not being able to connect to the Webnode system. In this case it’s necessary to offer the alternative solution of using “mta-01.webnode.com” for POP3 and SMTP, instead of "example.pop3.mail1.webnode.com" and "example.smtp.mail1.webnode.com".
Once it's done, it might take several days before the changes take effect.
